The Iroquois New York

Saturday, June 6, 2015

Every time I've been to New York City, I've stayed at a different hotel, in a different neighborhood. I guess that's the key to really get to discover a city; to get a better feel of the energy that exhumes from its streets. Last February, during New York Fashion Week, I had the privilege of enjoying all of the Fashion Month's festivities from the unparalleled comfort and coziness of The Iroquois New York Hotel, located in the humble and charming neighborhood of Midtown West, not too far from Lincoln Center. Having had the opportunity to previously stay at another one of the renowned Triumph Hotels, The Belleclaire in the Upper West Side, I must admit that my expectations were already pretty high and yet, The Iroquois managed to exceed all of them with elegance and sophistication !

Now I believe what makes the Triumph brand so en vogue in 2015, is the essence of timeless luxury residing within historic settings that essentially is the core of all of its properties. As a world-traveller and, shall I say, a savvy jet setter(!), I am often on the look out for these types of luxury accommodations situated right in the heart of the most happening cities, all around the world. And when I happen to travel for business, chic is key, opulence, an asset, and cultural immersion, a necessity. I was particularly pleased with the exceptionally high quality of personal service that was catered to my attention, from The Iroquois expert concierge staff to its attentive event services team. Pretty hard to believe that this upscale urban oasis hasn't already been graced with a fifth star ;)

If, like myself, you pick The Iroquois Hotel as your home away from home in the context of a business trip, you will gladly enjoy the 24 hours valet parking and room-service the hotel setup at your disposal. Early risers will appreciate, I'm sure, the nice comforting touch of enjoying their complementary morning coffee in the library, with a permanant access to daily newspapers, computer terminals, a printer and AIRS-real time flight information for NYC-area airports. And if you are a happy hour enthusiast, the Lantern's Keep cocktail salon will be host to the most memorable post-office hours meets and greets you'll get to attend ! The Lantern's Keep looks to history for inspiration, and seeks not necessarily to replicate classic drinks ounce for ounce, but to understand the techniques that made drinks like the Manhattan and the Old Fashioned survive the test of time. Those admirers of expert barkeeping traditions, combining the use of fine ingredients to concieve unique concoctions, to classical style of preparation, will certainly be enchanted at the view of such an extensive liquor and drinks carte ;)

If you picked New York City has the host of your next holidays, the hotel's fully outfitted, 24-hour fitness center and Finnish Sauna shall definitely catch your attention. Private training, yoga or Pilates sessions with a licensed professional are available upon request, before enjoying complimentary hot beverages in the Lobby, during Winter time. In the Summer, refreshments are in order as well. As most of your days will be filled with activities of all kinds, you will gladly come home to the classic design and state-of-the-art amenities meeting in the quintessential Manhattan luxury hotel rooms and suites of The Iroquois New York. Floor-to-ceiling marble bathrooms, Frette towels and robes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi access, flat-screen HD TVs, complimentary overnight shoeshine and  nightly turndown service with Le Belge chocolates to create an engaging experience for every guest, that is The Iroquois New York Hotel's promise for an unforgettable luxury away from home experience.

And, in order to please its gourmet visitors, The Iroquois New York is also home to the critically acclaimed and locally beloved Triomphe restaurant; Innovative yet authentic, refined but comfortable, and always inspired eatery, located right next door to the hotel. I had the pleasure of enjoying my very last dinner in New York City at Triomphe and I am looking forward to sharing with you guys, my experience later on next week ;)

A huge thank you to The Iroquois New York Hotel and its wonderful team for those five beautiful days and nights spent in their humble Deluxe King suite. I enjoyed every second of my experience in the heart of Manhattan and, as always, the Triumph Group didn't fail to amaze me ! Looking forward to my next stay !
