Happy Happy Friday everyone ! I'm sorry I haven't been able to reach out as much as usual this week but school exams are taking all the time I have, literally. But hey, one more to go and I'm free for 21 days which means we'll get to connect at least twice-daily ;) I've got so many great things in store for you and I cannot wait to share with you about what I have been working on lately… So exciting ! Also wanted to thank everybody you sent out nice thoughts, comments and kind words in regard to what happened yesterday. Your messages really made a difference in the way I felt in all that crazy situation and I promise I will tell you everything about it as soon as it is solved. You deserve to have all the details ! But for today, I wanted to take you back to our West Coast Road Trip which started off in Las Vegas for a very busy but OH-SO! fantastic 24 hours.

The morning we had to leave, as guest of the Wynn Las Vegas, we had the wonderful opportunity to eat breakfast at Tableau, a gorgeous restaurant located not too far from the Tower Suites at Wynn Las Vegas, that truly redefines the concept of casual elegance in dining and American cuisine. The whole place was set up in some sort of a conservatory, filled with the desert morning light and beautifully designed. Tableau's Executive Chef, Joseph Leibowitz, has fashioned a menu that reflects his approach to food, using the finest, market fresh ingredients that combine elements of extravagance and imagination with the comfortingly familiar. Karl and I could not be more thrilled when we learned we were would get to have breakfast there and woke up extra early simply to make sure we had time to really enjoy our time. Thing is, we had to drive all the way to Phoenix for the Cardinals vs. Redskins game that same day so there was no time to lose ;)

One thing I loved about Tableau, and I told you about it a little earlier, is the place, the general space. I felt like I was in a dream, that's how enchanted the restaurant is. Enchanted and enchanting ! Whether you’re dining indoors or poolside in the sun, this is just a great place to relax and I appreciate the thought of getting to choose our morning spot. I would say I'm pretty much a person of habits so, I went straight for a table right next to the large glass windows, overlooking the gardens and the pool. We started off our breakfast with some tea, a warm, foamy latte for me, some water and green juice. If you are following me on Instagram, you probably already know how much of a sucker I am for green juices. Not being very fond of fruits and veggies to begin with, I found in juicing a nice alternative to pack my body with the good stuff. My pick at Tableau was the 'Purify' juice, made with honeydew, green apple, kale, spinach, cayenne, organic honey… Heaven on earth, may I say !

With went on with our breakfast by sharing the select fresh sliced fruits plate & Greek yoghurt (to Karl's demand!) and both respectively had the smoked salmon with toasted bagel and traditional eggs benedict with house-cured Canadian bacon. What a delight ! If, like myself, you are absolutely fond on great mix of flavors and dishes packed with tasty components, Tableau will really satisfy your cravings for something good, fresh and traditional with a twist. The restaurant does offer an elegant and personal take on coast-to-coast American favorites and every plate we ordered was market-fresh, refined, well presented and prepared to perfection ! A go-to breakfast institution, if you ask me ;)
