One of the perks traveling a lot, to me, is the pleasure of getting to eat out almost everyday. I've been a foodie my whole life and I will probably always be one so when it comes to feeding myself while abroad, I take the experience very seriously. I like to meticulously plan every single meal we'll be grabbing along the way and I definitely put a lot of efforts in researching the most suitable places to eat at, for the situation I'm in and the people I'm traveling with. Thankfully, a part of my job is also to eat for business purposes ;) I like to learn all about new restaurants and be able to recommend some of my favourtite's to my readers, A.K.A you guys.

As a guest of the Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Resort, back in October, Karl and I found on our schedule sheet, an 8 o'clock reservation at one of the finest restaurant's of the entire Encore resort, Andrea's. Now, when you first hear (or see) the name of the place, you might expect something rather Italian-ishh, right ? Think again, Andrea's is in fact a hip Asian dining combining a restaurant and nightlife experience into one environment. Their extensive menu offers premium sharable Asian cuisine including sushi, shellfish on ice, dim sum pot stickers, salads, noodles, fried rice variations and more. A nice selection of classically prepared steaks, seafood, poultry and a few vegan options are also available.

Karl and I got to enjoy the most exquisite and refined service any restaurant's guests could ever imagine as everything seemed possible that night. We wanted a very specific type of water ? They went and got it for us. We needed more time to go over the endless menu ? We got a first round of champagne on the house while looking it up. It truly was a dignifying experience and the most fun part was when our server that night actually turned up into more of an accompanist, guiding us through a delightful path of flavors and textures. Thank God for him, otherwise Karl and I would have probably ended up order a plain streak and few sides ;) After helping us out with the interactive drink menu (featuring every single option from wines, to bubbly, to digestives, to martinis(!), to an amusing carte of signature cocktails including two absolute favourites of mine, the Shanghai Girls and the Asian Pear!), he suggested we start off with Andrea's infamous seafood on ice platter, allowing us to taste the freshest shellfish and raw fish one could ever possibly dream of. Fun fact, our new friend informed us that the reason the seafood at Andrea's was so fresh and flavorful was because it was caught only a few hours ago.

From the sea to my belly !

Another great thing about Andrea's seven-stars menu is that it really caters to multiple tastes and food preferences, even though it mainly consists in Asian gastronomy. I am the type of foodie who will literally try everything. Karl, on the other hand, is much more conservative and isn't too fond of discovering… Fortunately for me, our server was totally on my side and suggested we try out a couple table shares he thought we might enjoy according to both our requests. I went straight for the signature dishes by ordering the truffled Ponzu Rock Shrimp Tempura and the crispy blue crab and scallops, but Karl actually won this one by request the most divine dish I've ever experienced in my life. And I mean it. If you ever happen to be in the area and end up eating at Andrea's, please care for the Wagyu beef tartare ! At some point during the night, it was time for Sake and Andrea's personal Sake connoisseur happily came up to our table and helped us pick a good bottle of hot. A nice touch I thought I might notice to you guys since being still quite young, Karl and I are definitely not there yet when it comes to premium alcohol knowledge. Wether it's wine, rice liquor or other beverage, we don't always get it so it's very nice to have an actual expert helping us out in those tricky situations ;)

The dinner went on with a few other delicious recommendations from our amazing server including some salads, filet mignon (for Karl!), charred asparagus and crispy brussels sprouts, kimchi, crab fried rice and a variety of speciality and classic sushi rolls. The epitome of asian cookery and an astonishing culinary experience. We concluded our tasteful journey with a round of signature, house-made pistachio, chili-chocolate and salted caramel ice cream cones (their small dessert portion; the big one has eight cones!).

With it's modern and feminine decor elements, Andrea's melds dining and nightlife into one seamless environment. The restaurant’s interiors are accented in cream, cognac, pearl and gold hues, featuring luxurious finishes. Perfect venues for any kind of festive events ! Additionally, guests can lounge in velvet sofas in the step‐up dining area under the glow of 1,000 champagne tinted Venetian glass teardrops, while others can enjoy an warm and intimate dinner around more secluded tables. Depending on where you are seated (or ask to be, because rememeber, everything is possible over there!), you'll get to enterain yourself with great views at the DJ booth, the exhibition kitchen or the terrace overlooking Surrender Nightclub's panoramic outdoor space.

Highly recommended ! Many thanks to Andrea's for having us in their superb restaurant !
